Thinking

sunset CI just read a post from Bookwraiths, ‘Toxic Tuesday’, which I found very interesting. The political and social extremes that some people espouse is infringing on all aspects of our lives now, including in the world of books. The written word is a bastion where thoughts and ideas can be fully explored and accessed by all. Where differences of opinion can be celebrated, debated, discussed. Unfortunately, it seems many believe that if you do not immediately agree with their beliefs, if you question their ideaology, you are ‘the enemy’. Where has tolerance gone? When did ‘love all’ become ‘love only those who agree with you’? It saddens me. But then I read Bookwraiths post and the responses, and I know that there are still people out there with humanity – and I have hope

All the best
